Maria Lin

A versatile artist, violinist Maria Lin performs with many of Houston’s diverse resident ensembles including Houston Grand Opera, Mercury, Harmonia Stellarum, Bach Society, and La Speranza, on both period and modern violins. As a member of Ars Lyrica Houston she has toured and performed with presenters including Music Before 1800, Arizona Early Music, and San Diego Early Music. As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Houston Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Oregon Symphony (OR) and Portland Symphony (ME), among others. Additionally, she performs with Spire Ensemble (Kansas City) and La Follia Austin. Maria has appeared at festivals including Spoleto, Tanglewood, Grand Teton, Victoria Bach Festival, and attended the International Musician’s Seminar at Prussia Cove in Cornwall, England. As a recitalist and soloist, her performances include those at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, and with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and National Repertory Orchestra. She has taught privately and at the Interlochen Music Center. Maria began her undergraduate study at Indiana University in Bloomington and finished her Bachelor of Music at New England

Conservatory, studying with James Buswell, and her Master of Music with Zvi Zeitlin at Eastman School of Music.
